In June 2009 Lufthansa Global Telesales Cape Town was awarded ISO 9001:2008 Quality Certification by the South African Buro of Standards (SABS).
GTS Cape Town has become the 1st Service Centre in South Africa to be awarded the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Certification - recognizing the company's commitment to quality and customer service delivery!
The South African Bureau of Standard (SABS) honored the GTS operation for meeting the guidelines set out by the International Standardization Organization.
The actual certification is only the "cherry on the top". Since 2008 GTS CPT has been in the process of implementing an ISO Quality Management System (QMS), designed to advance manageability, transparency and hence ensure sustainability of the vastly growing Service Centre operation. A greater focus on business objectives and customer requirements will improve business performance and efficiencies - and ultimately customer service excellence.
Birgit Thümecke (Managing Director GTS CPT) thanked the Cape Town team for their commitment and support. "The ISO accreditation is a key milestone that could only be achieved through a fantastic team collaboration, diligence and real hard work. This accomplishment will be utilised within our network in order to further strengthen global alignment. I am confident that we all - our customers and our group - will reap the rewards in the months and years ahead". |
